No means "Yes" and "No?"
We've reached a point in this joyous privilege of raising a kid where Daddy and I have to "figure out" what YES and NO really mean (among other things).

Joseph’s vocabulary is getting better by the day. He’s picking up new words at school as well as at home and he definitely understands EVERYTHING you tell him or ask him. If he’s not shrugging his shoulders to say he doesn’t know, he’s verbally trying to tell you what’s on his mind.

Why is it, though, that he can understand us and it takes an act of congress for us to understand him?! I mean, aren't we suppose to be the "adults" in this thing?

I guess that’s all a part of the privilege!

Joseph…do you want some more rice? And, you might want to eat out of the other side of the spoon…it may be easier :-)

Lunch at Pappadeaux's with my Mommy and Daddy!

"My first full-day in YT's"
I graduated today to the Young Toddler class at my school! I wasn't too excited about it when my Mommy dropped me off...I cried for a bit, but once I saw a couple of my old friends from my other class, I was ok!

Here is a picture of me and Mommy after my long first day!

I can't wait to see what's in store tomorrow!

Kayla...
"Squeeze me tighter!"

Ok, but Mommy...
"I want to go over there so that I can see the dog again...

...Come on, I'll show you where he went!"

Lailah...
"I'm not familiar with that song...Can we sing another one?"

Paw-Paw Ken...
"Isn't there a such thing as child labor laws?

Infant no more..."Just call me 'Toddler Brown'"
On last evening daddy converted Joseph's infant crib to a toddler bed. No one thought the transition from mommy and daddy's bed would be easy...he's only been sleeping with us for 16months; but boy were we ever wrong...
He looks pretty cozy and comfortable to me!

I guess Mommy is the one that will have the biggest adjustment:-(

I love it when...
"I'm able to express myself through music! Thanks Auntie Karen and Josh for my guitar! Come over soon so that I can show you my skillz'!!!
oh...
Please excuse the big BLUE thing hanging out of my mouth!"

Me, my new slide and Bubba!
"For Christmas, my Mommy and Daddy bought me a sports climber with a slide! I couldn’t wait to invite Bubba over to help me break it in!

Look out below!"

Bubba and I were so excited Christmas morning!
"We were blessed with so many things…Cars, clothes, laptops and most importantly (according to our Big Poppa!) GOLF CLUBS! Yes, real ones with matching bags! My Mommy said the clubs could potentially be 'hazardous'...I don't really know what that means, but I'm going to try my hardest not to put a hole in the wall!!!!

FOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(that's golf-talk for PLEASE GET OUT OF THE WAY, I'M SWINGING!)"

Christmas Eve at Big Poppa's and GranB's

"A new Christmas tradition was started last year (spending Christmas Eve with my grandparent's)...And this year was even better than the first...at least from what I can remember!
Bubba and I got our 'own' room with new bunk beds! We couldn't wait to climb up the stairs and check them out! Here are a couple of pictures of us enjoying the view from the TOP!"
Bubba...Jesus' Birthday is only 2 days away!
YAY!!

Ummm...Joseph
Your clothes belong "IN" the drawer, not thrown all over the floor! Let's play "clean-up!"

I don't know Joseph...

I guess it's a tree?!!!

I am as open-minded as the next person, but this one has me stumped! Are those "hands" stapled to a tree? If so...please tell me why? And what are those red balls? Are they cherries?

Daddy and Mommy are going to need some help with this one!
Yes Joseph...
You can be the President!

"...This is our moment. This is our time – to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the American Dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth – that out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope, and where we are met with cynicism, and doubt, and those who tell us that we can’t, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people: Yes We Can...."Barack Obama, November 5, 2008
