Nope it's NOT my birthday...it's my Big Boy Party!
Mommy says there comes a time in everyone's life when they have to learn to use the potty on their own...NOT in diapers.

So, to celebrate my transition into BIG BOYhood...Mommy and Daddy threw me a party!

I was a little nervous at first...all potties aren't the same. Mine has bells and whistles, the big white ones don't! It was hard to believe all potties didn't congratulate you when you "went."

Both me and Mommy got a little emotional during the "trashing," but it all worked out swell!

Good bye diapers...HELLO under-roos! Size 3T please :-)

"Man riding the bull pleeese'"
Most kids (we are sure) enjoy evenings of reading books, playing with toys, or maybe even opportunities to watch age appropriate television shows. Never in a million years would we have guessed that “bull riding competitions” would be the kid’s television show of choice!

And to be sure we have a show available whenever the request is made (because we all know bull riding competitions aren’t shown everyday); One show has been successfully recorded and labeled…”DO NOT ERASE UNTIL SPACE IS NEEDED!”

Again we say…Are we CERTAIN we brought home the right kid?

This time…we blame Maw-Maw!
Men and their "toys!"
I guess the relationship is ALMOST like women and their "shoes!" Although, we tend to get excited when they're our own :-)

They take everything Literal!
A trip to "Gringos" yielded yet another evening of fun and excitement!

Here's the setting: Joseph is in a high chair playing on his placemat with crayons and the like, Daddy and Mommy are sitting on either side of the table, everyone has ordered and are now enjoying meaningless chatter to keep the kid occupied until the food arrives.

Joseph: "I want food Mommy!"
Mommy: "ok Joseph, we have to ask the lady to bring our food. It should be coming in a minute."

(the waitress is standing a ways off tending to other customers when Joseph yells:)

"LADY I WANT FOOD!!!!"

Mommy and Daddy slide under the table laughing hysterically, totally embarrassed!LOL!

The Kid after dinner...
What's your name?
Note below an exchange between Mommy and the Kid. Mind you, we had no idea that he was able to associate first and last names with "other" people...goes to show you that two year olds know more than you give them credit for! LOL!

Mommy: "What's your name?"
The Kid (emphatically): "Joseph"
Mommy: "Joseph what?"
The Kid: "Joseph Bown!" (yes Bown without the "r")
Daddy asks (pointing at Mommy): "what's her name?"
The Kid (emphatically): "Mommy"
Mommy says: "Mommy what?"
The Kid (without hesitation): "Mommy Bown!" (in a tone as if to say..."dummy, you don't know?")

Priceless!
"I love spending time with my family..."
On a trip to my Great-Grandma's House...we decided to take a picture! I couldn't focus on the camera because I just love watching her smile...
Say cheese Granny!
School Program...Celebrating Cultures!
2's aren't "TERRIBLE"...he said he's having a blast!
Daddy and I aren't quite sure if the kid we took home from the hospital is the "same" kid we have today!

It seems as though the kid we once knew as "sweet and mild-mannered" has been transformed into someone else!!!!

"The People" told us to beware of the "terrible 2's"...we swore we wouldn't have to worry or even prepare for them because Joseph would be "fine!"

Ummmm...your Honor, we move to strike that last comment...the people were right! LOL!

Just Me!
Did someone say party?
My parents thought since I find great pleasure in jumping on things, jumping off of things and jumping through things, having a "jumping" birthday party seemed appropriate! I had a blast...and so did the adults!

I lost my mat!

I'm the birthday boy!

I've had such an enjoyable summer! I spent time at the Children's Museum, my Dad's job and the circus. I've also had a birthday! Yep...guess who's 2?!!!
